So ladies have any of you after your operation have these symptoms and if you did how did you deal with it.
Hi Wilma
My hair fell out 9 days after my chemo session, at first it really stressed me out but I took control and decided to shave off the remainder. The hospital referred me for a wig and I did get one but I didn’t like it. I chose to wear some cheap cotton hats from Temu and even stopped wearing them. I got to the point where I thought sod this, I survived cancer and to hell what people thought. My hair has grown back in fully grey and I have chemo curls, can’t do a bloody thing with them, my hair was always straight before. I’m 59 in early September.
As for the sweats, I bought a large dog cooling mat and slept on it or I got up and sat in the back garden while hubby changed the bed. They’ve settled down now but they were almost nightly. The cooling mat helped. I did look into buying cooling sheets but they were rather expensive.
Hope this helps a bit
Linda xx
