My experience

I am coming up to week 4 on Friday 21 2024 after my surgery on the 24th May 2024 which turned out to be complex taking nearly five hours I ended up with 4 portals and one big cut across my tummy with 20+ staples in the that and 10 all together on the portals my womb was to large to come through my virginia plus other issue apparently I was just short of needing a blood transfusion, so I need to get my full blood count checked for the third time this week.

I also woke up in recovery begging for help with excruciating pain in my shoulders especially my right one could not move them for weeks I could hardly cut food up and lift it to my mouth went\ for x-rays need to get steroids put into both.

As for post operative total nightmare my shoulders and infections plus I couldn't get my staples out on time this made them red and angry ended up with my largest cut weeping at one side putting dressing on everyday but I am glad the bleeding is getting less so next week I suspect no more dressings.

I phoned the Edinburgh Cancer Hub and left a message for my elusive CNS (diagnosed May 2022 2 years I have only herd from her 3 times with these 2 years the last time she phoned was May 28th 2024 asking why I was not still in hospital as I was to be in until 29th May 2024, anyway as I said left a message asking for her to contact me after Thursday 20th June 2024 as the MDT meets on the Thursday so she should have information surly on the Friday 2024 on what's happening and when my appointment should be, to be honest my mind is occupied about my biopsy results in fact i might go to Maggie's in Coatbridge and ask there advice on what to ask.
