I don't recollect being told to eat before either of my last hysteroscopies (am unlucky enough to have had 2), but have specifically been given this advice.
Wondering if it is because I was shaking a lot after my last hysteroscopy and demolished multiple small packs of hospital biscuits...
Or is this general advice for everyone?
I do have some awkward co-morbidites, including variable BP.
Thank you, Jane. The funny thing is that whenever I've passed out and they tested my blood sugar they always said it's higher than ideal, never low sugars, just very low BP (80/50 or 90/50 sometimes). I think I might add in a bag of crisps for lunch as the salt might actually help. I don't think a meal was enough last time as I definitely did eat before I went (my last procedure was mid-afternoon). Thank you for the good luck wishes. x
