I was diagnosed with Stage 1A clear cell endometrial cancer in December 2020 and had a successful full hysterectomy in January 21 with no further treatment. Regular checkups had been clear but in January this year after initially being admitted to hospital with a blocked bowel it was discovered that the cancer had come back and was pressing on the bowel. No biopsy was possible as it was too close to major blood vessels etc but they are confident my original cancer has returned and I’ve just finished my chemotherapy and have scans next week. Has anyone else had returning endometrial cancer and what treatment was possible please? Thanks for any knowledge and advice
Hi MRH24
I'm very sorry to read that your cancer has recurred. My endometrial cancer returned 3 weeks after hysterectomy. Please read my profile by clicking on my username. I have been stable after treatment since September 2022.
Very best wishes for your treatment

Hi Sistermoon,
Bumped into your reply. Hope you are doing well. May I ask what stage n grade you had in the first diagnosis? And what treatment did u have in the second time? I had EC 2.5 years ago. Stage 2 grade 2. In my recent scan, a 2mm nodule was found in my right lung. Waiting to have another scan in August. Worried.

Hi Chui
Hope you are doing ok. My previous post might have been a bit misleading. What I should have said was that my cancer abruptly transitioned at some point, either before hysterectomy or after. Given the pain and stress I was under, I would say pre hysterectomy. My profile is on if you would like to read, just click on my username.
I have had good results from treatment and my cancer has been stable since September 2022. Hoping for the same for you.

Hi, I was diagnosed with grade 3, stage 3c endometrial cancer in Jun 21. This recurred in September 22 when tumours were found on my spleen, pelvic area and vaginal wall. Further chemo stopped working after the fifth cycle. I then went on immunotherapy, pembrolizumab and lenvatinib in September23, which was successful at keeping the cancer at bay until recently. The side effects are pretty harsh but I was grateful to have given this a go xx
