Hi
I had my surgery on 19th April and my follow up was on Thursday of last week to receive the histology report. I can’t deny I was worried that they might find cancer in the “bits” they removed. Thankfully not. The surgeon was great and told me that my cancer was caught very early and was stage 1a. Nothing in the ovaries, tubes cervix etc. He said they did a pelvic wash and this was also clear. No further treatment necessary. I feel so grateful and so relieved. It feels like my life has been on hold for the past 10 months. This is the best news I could have hoped for. He said they will monitor me for 5 years and my first appointment is in 3 months. He said he will just have a feel of my tummy and do an internal examination. Still can’t take it in if I’m honest. So grateful and the support I’ve had on here has been amazing so thank you all. I’m feeling pretty much back to normal now, working, driving walking my dog etc. Only 4 more of the injections to take too. Can’t deny I will be glad when I don’t have to do those any more. When I got my diagnosis back in February i really thought it was a death sentence (I always think the worst). So grateful to the NHS too…………
That's great news- really pleased for you
Jane
