I'm in shock!!. Radiotherapy due to start. CT scan done. Then today got a phone call..... Pole test positive. No treatment required. I can't believe it!!!. Apparently they don't give treatment as the pole positive means excellent prognosis?. I still can't believe it
I had extensive LVSI as well. I asked my consultant about this and apparently the pole mutation overrides everything else. It will be interesting to see what you are offered in terms of follow up. I was a radiotherapy radiographer and it goes completely against my way of thinking. I’ve looked at a few research papers that I was sent and everything is saying no adjuvant therapy is needed.
