I am from a different forum and probably not your NHS Region, but from my two years of experience of scan protocol, I'd suggest this is normal and appropriate. They know your chemo schedule and will book slots in advance. That's what my place does.
Thanks for your reply. I'm from Essex. I was shocked to hear so soon and feel worried that I'll only be 5 days post chemo and be having CT with contrast. Reassuring to hear this is normal. I always knew I would be having end of treatment scan but didn't realise how quick. I hope you are doing well. Hop x
Hi Hop5, I also had a CT scan after Chemo but cannot remember how long after chemo finished, it seems some NHS Trusts do this routinely and some don't. I also had a CT scan before treatments as a base. Hope this helps.
Thanks for this. I too had scan before treatment then mid treatment and now post treatment. I'll phone CNS tomorrow to check it's not an error. Hope you are well
