I am currently in hospital as I was very ill over the weekend and have a bacterial infection in my belly button area.
They did a CT scan on Tuesday evening and yesterday I was advised that cancer was found in my belly area. It’s devastating news after hysterectomy and all the radiotherapy but it is what it is. I am waiting on the MDT meeting tomorrow. This is grave news and uncertain about what happens next.
So sorry to hear this. You have been through so much. I hope the doctors are able to quickly treat the bacterial infection you currently have and that the MDT can soon come up with a plan. Thinking of you and hoping you feel a bit better and are able to leave hospital again soon. x
Hi Muse,
So sorry to hear that you are in hospital and are really unwell. I hope that the antibiotics sort out the infection and quickly. I can only imagine how devastating that it must have been to hear that there is some cancer in your belly again. And after all that treatment.
I hope that you get some answers and some idea of a plan tomorrow after the MDT.
Am thinking of you and if there is anything you need, please do ask.
Take care
Jane
I hope they get the right antibiotics in there. Sometimes it can take a while to work out exactly what is needed. The last thing you need to worry about is spelling errors! Spelling errors are absolutely fine ...Make sure you alert the doctors if you spot that things are worsening – sometimes people don't like to do so. My daughter's meds often had to be switched and then she was thankfully okay. xx
Hi Muse I’m so sorry to hear your news. The infection must be horrible to have landed you in hospital and then to have the news of more cancer must be awful. I hope that the infection starts to clear up quickly and you get some sort of plan after tomorrow’s meeting. Big hugs
Linda xx
Hello Muse
I am very sorry to hear this news. I hope the infection clears up soon and you can get back home.
What a shock to hear the results of your CT scan. I am sorry you are in this situation again. Sounds like the MDT are on it and will discuss a plan together and you can be involved in any treatment decisions going forward.
Sending you strength and peace moving forward.
Kxx
I am so sad to hear this as you have been though so much already. You are absolutely in the right place and surrounded by a team that I am sure with give the best. I know it is hard as you thought it was done, but at least it was found now and they can sort out your treatment plan.
Biggest hugs!! XX
Roxanna
