I’ve started bleeding, 8 days post op. Coated pad like a period. With a tiny clot. Should I call the hospital I had it done? Is something wrong?
It may be that you’ve been overdoing things (eg re lifting things, bending) - best to call them to ease your mind.
I’ve been resting with my feet up the whole time
Hello EndoCanc
I had some bleeding post op and it was light and then a bit heavier - then light again during the next 6 weeks. I wasn't overdoing anything and like you had to wear pads.
I checked with my Macmillan nurse and was reassured. The bleeding stopped around 6 weeks. So it was all well in the end.
I advise to check with your Macmillan nurse for advice too - just for that reassurance.

Hi EndoCanc- I would call your hospital/CNS to get some reassurance.
Some bleeding can be normal. For a guideline my CNS said if you need to change a pad after an hour or if there are clots or cramping then to call.
It could be that you are doing more now but best to get some reassurance.

I would give them a quick call- I don't think they will ask you to come in or anything but they can talk you through the bleeding and when it could become an issue. You can ask them about the anticoagulant then- I know it could affect the bleeding but its to prevent blood clots post surgery - so that is important. Give them a call and in 5 minutes you should know what to do.
