Overnight peeing

Since I came home from hospital Friday after my total hysterectomy, my sleep has been pretty much destroyed with waking up every single hour to go to the toilet for a wee. Did anybody else encounter this? I’m also making sure I barely drink anything after 6 pm because of this and only a sip of water at 9 pm to take with a tablet so I don’t understand why I’m peeing every hour through the night. I would love to have a full night sleep

Definitely call the hospital or your doctor as it might be that your bladder is just irritated, or you could have a urine infection.

This is something to mention to them when you call. It is sometimes possible to get a urine infection after surgery, from the catheter or it could be just some irritation but having to go all through the night is not normal so needs checking.

Yep had the peeing all the time and sometimes still do. However, I have a kidney stent which is due replacing so my problems are probably due to this. As advised by others, again, best to call and get it checked x

I had it too and 4 months post op am still up 2 or 3 times.every night

Oh noooo! I wonder if it’s because it doesn’t have the uterus for support?

I have no idea, the catheter didn't do me any favours as it wasnt draining initially so I had over 2 litres of water before they figured out the issue, so I worry my bladder was stretched and is now not right...
