Several of you requested an update after getting my results yesterday post Hysterectomy.
I got a call lunchtime after the MDT meeting from my CNS confirming I didn't need to get to my 4PM appointment as the results confirmed I need no further treatment. I was stunned and had to ask her to repeat what she said, no radiotherapy, no chemo just monitoring every couple of months for a while. I am absolutely elated at the news as after my long battle with breast cancer previously I convinced myself there would be another battle ahead. I am still in shock today and can't wait for the letter and histology to arrive from the consultant so that I have it in writing. I forgot to ask the grade and stage as all I knew before the op was that I was a grade 2 and no stage was given.
I consider myself very lucky this time round and will now appreciate every moment going forward and as my boss said this time round really was third time lucky for me !!
I hope everyone's treatments go well too and I will pop in and out to see how you are all doing. I have always found this site and the people inspiring and helpful each time I have had cancer.
