Had op today - hoping for laparoscopic but had to be abdominal. Worst was the waiting - didn’t go to theatre till 3.30 - but was back on ward by 6pm and feeling reasonably ok.
such a relief that it’s done and can move forward.
Hi Travellinggirl,
It's great to hear from you. Am glad you have had your op, several ladies on here have had abdominal ops so will be there to support.
Hope you are comfortable and can get some sleep tonight. It's such a relief to get the surgery done and dusted.
Jane
Thanks. Feeling ok this morning. Roxanna how long did you have to wait for a shower? Not out of bed yet though!!!
I had my first shower on day three in the hospital, before leaving. In have been stitched and glued without a dressing, which has been a huge blessing. I only shower, at the moment, every other day to limit the amount of water I get on my wound and have a sponge baths between. I am really careful to make sure everything heals well and the scar gets a chance to be as fine as possible.

I had abdominal too I had my first shower the day after I left hospital. I was surprised how quickly my incision healed I had dissolvable stitches , I know some ladies have staples, but 7 months on you can hardly see the scar.

To my surprise I may be able to go home later today!
