Hi mollysue
I can see that you are very anxious about all that is happening with you. These tests are baselines for your anaesthetist who will look after you during your operation. This is the point I want to make, you are being looked after by your team in preparation for your surgery. The pre assessment information is relevant to the team on the day of your surgery, it is not necessary for us to understand. It is useful for us to know information along the way to inform our decisions and to know how cancer is affecting us but it is important to realise that not all information is relevant to us as patients. This is because otherwise we will constantly worry and become in an anxious state. I know it is daunting and the waiting is awful but stress and worry is not good for the body. Try to occupy your time waiting with things you like to do. Do you like to walk? I find walking is a great stress buster and calms my mind. I was diagnosed in January 2022 so I have some idea of how you feel but worrying won't change any outcome and only steals the peace of today. I wish you only good wishes for your surgery and results.
A x
