Hi Shar58, well done for having had your op! I had some pain relief post op but once the catheter was out (6am the next day) I didn’t need any! I too felt a bit trapped having to stay in bed but with my games on my iPad, my snacks, my squash, all the checks through the night anyway and the chance to chat with the nurses it wasn’t too bad! I too was surprised at how ok I felt - a bit stretched and tender, but not bad at all. Hope the night passes quickly for you.

Poppy58, I too was online and posting here within 4 hours of coming round from my op in Jan 2022! I’d read on here that it was a good idea to buy/pack an extra long charging lead and plugging it in was the first thing I asked the nurse to do when I arrived on the ward! 

Amazing Marmitefan59, I hope I will cope as well too when I get my turn, thanks for the tip, I will get another charger lead as mine is very short !!  I just hope the doctors strike achieves a settlement soon so that I can get a new date for my op, fingers crossed, as ! was all set for the 9th but not now . The doctors do deserve more money though for the hours they are put under.
