Results, how long should I expect to eait

I hope that you are recovering ok from your hysterectomy.

I got my results back at around 3 1/2 weeks- but I did keep calling and emailed the consultants secretary.

Perhaps give your CNS a call tomorrow and ask when they can be expected?

I would imagine it will be any time soon but the waiting is really hard.

Got mine back after 2 weeks when I went for an unscheduled appointment with consultant…my hysterectomy was for complex atypical hyperplasia but 40% of cases are found to have cancer after hysterectomy…thankfully my results were all clear, no cancer and not even any hyperplasia… I hope you don’t have to wait too long…I was waiting almost 6 weeks for the results of a hysteroscopy earlier this year and the waiting drove me to very dark places…

Hi Birdwatcher, well done for having had your op and I hope your recovery is going well. My hospital was very much on the ball and prebooked my results appointment for one day short of two weeks post op (my op was on a Saturday and my MDT meet on a Friday). But it varies from hospital to hospital. Do,you know on which day of the week your MDT meet? If you haven’t already, I’d recommend phoning your CNS to find out if they can let you know when and if they don’t know, ask them to find out and keep asking!
