No Hysterectomy Today

As I suspected my blood sugars were too high when I went in for my hysterectomy this morning so I was sent home. I wasn’t at all surprised.

The consultant was lovely and said op should go ahead in September if I can get my blood sugar level down, he is also arranging for me to have a coil put in in the meantime.  So I’m waiting to hear when that will be done..he asked if I’d like them to take a couple of biopsies when they do it because he knows I’m a worrier and I said yes please. He said he’s pretty sure the precancerous cells were contained in one polyp but to put my mind at rest he would arrange that for me.

i popped into GP’s and have just had bloods done there and have appointment on Wednesday to see the nurse to get this (shortly to be confirmed) T2 diabetes under control…

Came out to find my husband, tripped over a speed hump in the car park, covered in scratches and cuts..find husband to be told he’d reversed the car into a neighbours garden wall so now have to sort that out…happy Monday!

  • Hello Duffers Mum

I did think of you earlier and wonder whether you were having the operation

. Am sorry that is has been put off until September but hopefully the nurse will be able to support you in getting the blood sugars under control.

In the mean time we are here to support you.

    Jane

  • Yes, I was expecting it..it was a long shot but not to be…sure I’ll get my bloods down, I feel happier waiting with a coil being put in I must admit..he told me Dr Google is a very poor doctor and should be kicked into the abyss…I’ve promised to stay away from him!  His secretary has emailed to say she will ring me in a couple of weeks to get a date in the diary for September…so i’m going to take the grandchildren away to Corfu and have a week in Crete as planned and enjoy those holidays before coming back all ready for my op.

I appreciate all the kind words and help I’ve received here x

  • I hope that you have a lovely time with your Grandchildren on your holidays
