Arrived for my appointment at 10.15 this morning to be told they were running behind schedule. Got called in for planning scan at 11am. My consultant carried out an internal examination to determined the size of the applicator. The first one she tried to insert caused too much pain so she opted for a smaller one. It felt a bit like when you have a speculum inserted, uncomfortable but bearable. The rest was straightforward really. Had the scan then was transferred onto a trolley and taken to the treatment room. The staff were lovely and explained the procedure as they attached me to the machine. The treatment lasted 7 mins 10 seconds. I was out of the unit by 12 noon. The only side affect I've had so far is a bit soreness when I first passed urine. So I'm less apprehensive about my next two treatments and looking forward to holiday to Kephalonia on the 16th xx
Hi Newbie8
Glad it was all straightforward for you. Good luck for your next 2 treatments. Great that you have a holiday to look forward to
