On the 5th January 2023 a absolutely brilliant Consultant Doctor K. Rose who managed to get the Cancerous polyp out even though the previous consultant didn't have the skill set to manage me as a larger patient under anesthesia,, I was also sure he was the first consultant who was also unable t get my first biopsy unlike the brilliant consultant who managed both procedures at the end of the day

My main cancer was  removed by Doctor Rose after she looked up my notes and her exact. words were " I was gutted to see that your polyp.was  unable  to be removed and she and her team would be able to remove it during there lunch break, on the 5th. January 2023 but without anesthesia just through the hysteroscopy". I was so relieved I got each. a bottle wine and chocolates for doing such  large favor.

My follow on treatment is a progesterone coil replaced exactly were the Polyp was and given Progesterone 10mg x3 daily..

I am very large women. BMI was 60, 23 stone 11oz (149. 10)my weight has dropped to (146.6) 23stone 1oz BMI about 56 I was DX on 10 October 2023 Stage 1 1a. About 6 or 7 weeks later I made the appointment Roflfor one of the GP's to check the  the coil was still in place and the strings could be seen, unfortunately I had to have the ever so rubbish Dr. Clay first thing she's said  even before I was through the door remove Roflyour under garments and lie up on examination bed, next thing that came out her stupid gub was "how do you know you have cancer"  then "who told you !!!" Then to follow her harsh manner of questioning,  followed the absolutely the worst examination I hadRofl ever had for a smear test and checking for the strings  "I was trying to relax whilst explaining Dr Clay I have a tilted cervix, so I went as far down the bed. As. Possible and used my hands to underneath Rofl butt to help bring my cervix in sight, Dr Clay couldn't get the spectrum in soo she proceeded to push the spectrum in. Several times the pain was horrendous I had to tell her "to stop now as shRofle was hurting me and being to ruff"  so Dr Clay informed me " to put my under garments back on"" which I tried myself to do although I am disabled and.  Usually need my husband to help as I am unable Roflbend forward and go to touch my feet Rofleventually I said " could I get a. Little help please as I was not managing on my own" and here's the final Demeaning part Dr Clay said " what do you do at home to get dressed are you sure you need help !!!!" I explained my husband helps me to put on my lower garments that that she made me feel demeaned and embarrassed, she said nothing except " make an appointment with nurse Briony she has more time "" and the real worse thing that came out of Doctor Clays mouth was "WE USUALLY GIVE ESTROGEN TO HELP WOMEN YOUR AGE" That was the straw that broke the Camel's back and my aner to her at that point was " CERTAINLY NOT AS ESTROGEN FEED UTERINE CANCER and all she done wass look at me with a glaiket expression. On her face as if she was looking straight through me, unbelievable a

And the whole joke of the mater was also stating Nurse Briany has more time to do this (smear test) even though  Dr Clay was already 50 minutes late for my appointment. by the time I drove home I was crying and in pain especially going to the toilet to pee, it was like peeing glass and I was bleeding so for the. Last week or so I was worried as one day I would full on bleeding then stop after a couple hours then take period pain and small clots in the. Toilets and on whipping there would be blood, so yesterday Friday 10th March I decided to contact my nurse specialist who made an appointment for me to go to gyna and get checked out and to make sure my coil was till there and not expelled.

Explaining to the nurse and Doctor what had happened with Dr Clay she wanted to have. a look just to make sure everything was ok but once again she had difficulty getting the spectrum in as it was really painful, the interesting part was she said "after having vaginal trauma because that's what has happened to you "I should put a complaint into my surgery regarding Doctor Clays method with the spectrum as well as complaining about the way she spoke to me , after our conversation she asked it it would be ok if a more senior staff member could check for the leads and to make sure the coil.was still were it should be, I said certainly as I was really worried that the coil might have expelled itself, the examination was painful but needed done plus she and her other colleague were more sensitive whilst trying hard not to hurt me, more likely I have bruising and swelling for the pain whilst peeing, she also said I should complain.

    Hi

How are you doing now? It certainly sounds a painful experience. It sounds as though this Dr has been running late, was stressed and had difficulty seeing to you on her own, with you having tilted cervix etc. I know you mentioned the next examination, there being 2 staff at the next appointment. I am not excusing her treatment to you as it sounds that she hadn't checked your records properly or asked for assistance before seeing you. Before you go down the complaint route, would it be worth a chat with the Practice Manager and explaining the effects you had afterwards. I hope you feel better soon Wilma and resolve the situation with the GP Surgery.

  • Hi Sister moon,  Thank you for asking,  unfortunately I am soar when peeing and slight cramps but not as bad  it's starting to subside with some meds, Friday was painful but I was so worried about the coil I new I had to get checked as Tadathe Provera 30mg daily and coil are hopefully keeping the cancer at bay until loose more weight (I am a stress eater and let's say it's been hard TadaJoy) plus due to my disability it's hard to walk around without pain.

The Doctor I mention unfortunately is plainly a.crap Doctor when my daughter went to see her around 14 years old ( she wanted in with her) it was regarding back pain and I mean real pain as my daughter has Fibromyalgia & PCOS (thanks to me)the Doctor looked at me to do the talking but I said " I am here to support her she the patient" she didn't listen to a word she was saying, didn't examine her and just kept saying growing pains my daughter slowly got up and walked out it turned out after a scan she had a slipped disc and needed better pain relief unfortunately my husband got her after receiving trauma to his lower back by a patient and he could hardly walk once again she didn't examine him told him to take paracetamol he would be fine he ended off sick for over six months needed an emergency doctor to the house and a injection. When at the surgery waiting room you would hear some saying "I hope I don't get Clay she's rubbish" that was before I ever came across her.

Yes she was late but it's strange after one patient comes out her surgery room, it's about 15 min before she calls in the next it's up to her to make Shure of her time and motion or perhaps she might be reading notes ??? But demeaning (belittling)  a patient  is a different matter all together and causing harm or trauma to any part of the body is also unforgivable especially being a senior doctor and not only perhaps a student just learning. I remember when I was a student mental health nurse and doing clinical duties I always asked the the patient was ok and if I was hurting please tell me and that was carried all through my nursing career as did my husband's.

Perhaps it's time the surgery that I have been a patient of for 30 years and have never had a bad word to say about the surgery needs the heads up regarding such a sloppy member of staff so perhaps on Monday morning 13th March 2023 I will contact them asking for a meeting with the practice manager.
