Hello ladies

Finally got the call I've been waiting for! Starting Immunotherapy this Friday 21st October. It seems I'll be watched like a hawk for the whole 30 minutes!

Also got new pain meds yesterday so they're going to work hopefully. Once is a slow release over 12 hours, the other is a quick fix!

I'll update you after the treatment.

Hugs to all, Barb xx

  • Hi Barb. Sorry to read that your pain meds didn’t work as planned but hopefully GP can sort something suitable out for you which will not affect your immunotherapy.  I hope that all goes well for you tomorrow-I will be sending positive thoughts out to you xx

  • Hope the start of your immunotherapy goes well xx

  • Good luck for tomorrow Barb - I will be thinking of you.  Hoping you get some pain relief that does not have such drastic consequences!  You really didn’t need that! Xx

  • Hi  That's what I was prescribed Longtec and Shortec. Thankfully my GP called me back yesterday afternoon and said unfortunately the time frames hadn't worked out - I did say I had no pain as at 13th September except localised and the pain from mid-October was a whole new ball game. He said continue with the co-codamol and morphine for now and we'll try again perhaps 2 weeks into my treatment.

I still felt absolutely wasted yesterday, nauseous and weak but today I feel better. I called the chemo suite yesterday to check the blood tests had arrived safely and she said there was a spike on a liver issue, not LFT and she was going to have to check with the Pharmacy in case treatment had to be postponed. Thankfully she didn't call back so good to go!

I'll update tomorrow or later, thanks for all rooting for me!

    Hugs to all, Barb xx
