Just 2 days away from my total abdominal hysterectomy so goodbye to my uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries, not that at 69 they are much use to me! Been trying to keep myself occupied to minimise the rollercoaster of emotions but it's not easy. Daily walks and yoga have helped. I'll be glad when it's over as that's a big step completed in this cancer journey. Thanks for all the support and advice from you lovely ladies.
Hi SH53, I remember how worried I was before my op but it all went to plan and was certainly not as bad as I had imagined it to be. Try to keep up with your walks after your op if only for short distances as I found it really helped with my recovery.
Thanks. I read your bio, I've been staged at 1a due my MRI and CT scans being clear. However due to being diagnosed with a ' mix serous and endometroid' endometrial cancer' I've been graded as 3. I'm sorry to hear your sad news whilst you were undergoing further treatment but pleased to hear you are now doing well on the health front.
Hi SH53
Wishing you all the very best for your hysterectomy, you are doing the right thing trying to keep yourself occupied. It's only natural to be a bit anxious but you are going to be in safe hands and you will be home before you know it and on the road to recovery.
I was diagnosed with Grade 3 serous cancer in February this year so i really know what you are going through as do the rest of the lovely ladies on this site, we are here for you. Let us know how it goes, happy to answer any questions you may have.
Big hugs Robin
