Hi everyone,
I’m having a lot of tummy and joint pain following day 3 . Finding sleep difficult. Anyone else? What helped? Any tips?? I’m trying to balance resting with being active but nights are hard…
Annie
Hi Did they send you home with pain killers? Although I didn't take much morphine I was taking enough paracetamol or para/codeine to sink a small ship - I have a little notebook which my husband diligently filled in). I don't get on well with ibuprofen so don't take them. I suffer from fibromyalgia and migraines and, although you must not take them too often, I take Syndol for pain at night (dark blue package version with doxylamine) - it makes you drowsy but that might not be a bad thing. I also found it much more comfortable to sleep on my side with a pillow between my thighs.
Cakenport, I think Annie means day 3 after Chemo - she posted as well on the Chemo support thread,
Thank you, they didn’t give me pain killers - I’m on chemo, not post-op - but like you trying to self-medicate. Legs and feet the worst now, and I can’t seem to stay still or get sleepy despite a pill that’s meant to aid sleep, and hemp tea! I might try syndol tomorrow…my body doesn’t feel like my body any more.
Ah sorry Annie M and thanks MarmiteFan59 just dipped in and got the wrong end of the stick. Syndol may still very well help. Sorry you are in so much discomfort.
