Thank you. Appointment over, had a TV u/s, consultant unsure of findings. Referred for MRI & hysteroscopy including biopsy. I’ve been advised a hysterectomy is possible (risks advised) however once the results are back a plan will be made going forward. Unsure if I have a polyp…. More waiting & never ending pain. At least the pain will be addressed by hysterectomy whatever the findings

  • Oh, that sounds like something to be going on with at least! The biopsy and mri should give them the answers they need to confirm if you do need a hysterectomy. You have been dealing with this pain for far too long, so I’m sure it would be a massive relief to have an end to that.

The pain is something else ..unbearable & I’m now prescribed morphine. Also spotting which is now my normal following ablation Face palm

  • Oh Aimee that must be so bad…despite all that I’ve been through with treatment and surgeries I have never had to be prescribed morphine.

  • I was prescribed co-codamol which didn't seem to help, it just made me constipated. I then tried the OraMorph I'd left hospital with and found that worked. At one time I was having 4 x 2.5ml spoonful's throughout the day with a 5ml spoon before bed. After I had 3 cycles of chemo I'd reduced to jut a 5ml spoonful before bed and I'm off completely now so I hadn't become addicted which I was pleased about.

I hope they manage to get something sorted soon and, as you say the hysterectomy will put and end to the pain.

    Hugs, Barb xx
