My Dr. gave me the pills you take the night before.....they didn't work....he is a new Dr to me because my original GYN retired...but I like this new Dr. ...
I asked...Do you think it is because I had an ablation (froze the inside of my Uterus 20 years ago)...He said...I DIDNT SEE THAT IN YOUR CHART. He said OF COURSE that is WHY...he said even in the Hospital they might not even be able to do the procedure.
So he said I had a decision ....Leave it alone (he doesn't think I have cancer...he thinks my drinking binge, messed up my hormones).....So he said I could leave it OR have a HYSTERECTOMY.
I said....What would you tell your loved one to do? He said...I have a WIFE I love DEARLY and I would suggest a Hysterectomy.
So, I said.- OK THEN...When is my Hysterectomy?
He said, he wants me to take care of my breast first.....I have breast Cancer and as soon as I am done with that to call him and he will set up the Pre-Operation appointment.
He said I will have "key hole" Hysterectomy (under my belly button and two incisions on the side) and that the recovery rate is really good with that procedure (about a week).
So, I was very happy when I left....that we are now going to just get it out of me.
Hi I remember a lady once wrote here she had "No emotional attachment" to her womb so basically get rid!
I had Laparoscopic surgery (key-hole). Recovery was quick and I felt discomfort rather than pain after the op. I could had gone home the day following surgery but as my journey was quite long my surgeon didn't want me on a long car journey so I stayed a night or two extra. Second night was due to me feeling a bit unwell due to constipation and excess wind.
Hope your breast cancer procedure goes well, do you have a date yet?
Hugs, Barb xx
