Hi folks

I've moved into this forum now as Pauline was diagnosed with stage 2 womb cancer today.

We have a CT scan on Monday and will get a telephone call next week to confirm treatment plans.

Just sitting here in our pjs processing this information. We are not shocked but just disappointed that it's not stage 1A or 1B.

Thank you for all your support - I will keep in touch once we know more.

  • Sorry to hear this news and to simply echo Walkinglady's kind words we are all there for you be that support or if you have any specific questions that we may be able to answer.

  • Sorry to hear your news, we are all thinking of you both x

  • Hi Emma, thinking of you both as you try to get your heads round this. I’m stage 2 but only found this out after my hysterectomy (it was thought to be stage 1A originally)

  • Hi Emma & Pauline

Like the other ladies I'm sorry to hear your news. The CT scan will confirm the situation. When you get your telephone call put it on speaker and ask permission to record the conversation on your mobile phone. (They'll always say yes in my experience) then you'll be able to play back and hear what you might have missed, with the best will in the world our brains always freeze. Then you can compose some questions you might like clarification on with your Oncologist or CNS.

    Big hugs, Barb xx

  • Sorry to hear this. But remind yourselves it's very treatable, so there is every reason to be positive. Once you get over the shock and you get a treatment plan I hope you will feel that. We're all hear to support you. I am coming to the end of my radiotherapy after my op and am feeling very positive now. Take care.
