I'm livid, still have a week for results of biopsy,  today the postman delivered a letter from gyne to my gp ...

It is full of lies, they say the mri slides and report in September wasn't received and repeated at their hospital in January when it wasn't repeated it just took that long for them to see the slides.

They said I was offered GnRH analogue therapy.... I'm not sure what this is but was told my the consultant in December "surgery will kill you your fibroid wont" and he thought I coukd possibly have injections to shrink the fibroid & in January I had my appointment with radiologist to talk about embolization but the scan still wasn't received and  they need to see my mri scan first...

And a couple of other things relYing yo my high bmi/bariatric surgery... got the hospital wrong.no mention of the request for a copy of the mri.

+I still haven't received the ct scan appointment

I've sent an email to the hospital pals team copying in my gp surgery and  asking for the corrections to be made and a new letter sent oit to to myself and gp.

Also says the mass they are concerned about is 11.5 x 9.8 x 14.8 .... my anxiety is through the roof right now Sleepy

Sorry I'm ranting maybe I'm being pedantic/nitpicking but they have 'stretched the truth' so many times I'm just gobsmacked/had to say something... have any of you had this experience? X

  • Hi  I can understand your anxiety levels through the roof. You' which doesn't help you. I'd contact your consultant's secretary and ask her to get the consultant to av a wordve done the right thing emailing the PALS team and requesting things be clarified. Unfortunately us ladies here aren't medically trained and in that sense wouldn't be able to comment on how or why things should be done

  • Hi Sorry, very garbled message sent before checking. I'm suffering with peripheral neuropathy due to chemo and my typing is c**p at the moment - so sorry.

Hopefully you're consultant will get back to you and clear this mess up. There shouldn't be such a situation happening, if they've lost the MRI scan they should get another one done.

    Big hugs, Barb xx
