I have today had my last round of chemo. It's been on going treatment since February
First total h then 25 session of radiotherapy 2 sessions internal radiotherapy and 6 rounds of chemo
Just been told we will contact you in 12 weeks for a scan. I have asked them what about my blood which is all over the place and worried as my cancer is grade 3 aggressive. My CMS as only been in contact 3 times since treatment started so I have no relationship with her.
Is this usual to be left in limbo after treatment GP still only doing telephone consultation so not much help there

Hi and a warm welcome to the Online Community. It's hard to read how areas differ so much in contactability. My CNS always made it clear if I needed her she, or one of her colleagues, would be there when I needed them and they would get me in to see my consultant or one of his team. But, thinking about it, it was always me that contacted her if I was worried, not calls from them to see how I was doing. I think it's patients led nowadays so contact her again. If she isn't particularly helpful then speak to your consultant's secretary. The more noise we make, we seem to get results.
Unfortunately whilst you're under the "umbrella" of hospital care most GP's don't seem to be able to do much in the way of making noises but if you're worried about your blood, you should be able to arrange a blood test at your GP's surgery if you explain your worries. The practice nurse should be able to do that.
t’s always helpful to others if you write a little something (or a lot) about yourself and your journey to date. You can enter it into your profile (click on your username and select “Profile”) It’s helpful to other members with a similar diagnosis who can then hopefully answer your questions. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. You can amend or update it at any time. If you’re not sure what to write, just click on my username.
If you want to ask any of us any questions please come back and do so. There's always someone around and we can offer a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold or listen to a rant, we’re here for you.
It’s always good to talk and the Macmillan Support Services provides lots of information, support, financial guidance or just a listening ear. It's free to call on 0808 808 00 00 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week. Have a look to see what is available by Clicking here .

Hello Devoted Nan
Hope you are well.
my mum has had her last round of chemo too today She’s being treated for a recurrence of endometrial cancer which is in her lymph nodes..
to be honest I think she’s a bit nervous about what will happen next… but she is (we think) on an immunotherapy trial which will continue for the next two years
Mums CNS has been brilliant so far but I think like Barbara has said below the contact has mostly been instigated by my mum
Hope you well. Sending you lots of love and best wishes
