Hi Everyone,
How are you all doing? Had pre-admission appointment today, no problems with anything so that’s it all done and dusted. Next stop Covid 19 test on 13th then all being well it’s all aboard the surgery train. Not making light of it honestly, it’s just my way of coping with it all. Been told that I’ll be in hospital for two nights and then all going well I’ll be sent home. I’m living in hope on that being the case. You’ll probably think this old biddy has lost the plot but it has only been in the past couple of days that this has suddenly felt real. I’m going into hospital on 16th December at 11:30 am to be prepped for surgery that afternoon. It seems crazy that its only just starting to feel real now. Hope everyone is safe and well.

Hi Birdie22 hope tomorrow goes well. I had mine 5 weeks ago and I feel almost back to my normal. I have appointment with consultant on 23rd December. The nurse told me I’m still grade one so that is good news and I don’t think I will have to have other treatment fingers crossed. I also had to be in at 7am and was in surgery at about 8.30. I had abdominal but was still out 2 days after. You will be so pleased once it is all done. By tomorrow eve the operation will be in the past! Take care xx
My surgery was on December 13th 2018, it seems so long ago now! The surgery itself was fine and I was in for two nights. You will be home for Christmas and can just concentrate on recovering. The stockings and the injections were the worst things I found. I was surprised there was hardly any pain, keyhole is amazing. Wishing you the best of luck
Hi Curly 101, Wow! you don’t know how much you have boosted me up with your post. I’d been worrying a little about duration of time in hospital if they couldn’t do the laparoscopic surgery. I’m now feeling pretty good about being in and out of hospital quite quickly. Thank you so much. There’s light at the end of this tunnel.
