Neo adjuvant chemotherapy

Hello  I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing pain with your chemo treatment. Are you on the carboplatin/paclotaxol combination? That one can cause pains for a few days - I had leg, knee pain each cycle with it.  Do speak to your team about any side effects you’re having when you go on Wednesday. They can prescribe painkillers for you and help you to deal with the side effects generally. I can’t comment on why you haven’t been offered radiotherapy. Chemo is often used to shrink tumours before surgery. Again do have a word with your team and ask them to explain why they’ve not offered radiotherapy. It could just be something simple like they want to keep it in reserve for later if needed. Things do happen quickly and it can be quite overwhelming at times. If you’ve been allocated a specialist nurse, it might be helpful to speak to her. Mine was great at explaining things I hadn’t understood and alaways said she rather i rand and asked her than sat worrying. Praying you get the answers you need and that your next chemo goes well. x
