Hi everyone. I found a small lump on my labia majaror a month ago. It’s now oblong shaped with a straight edge. I’ve always had some itching that side over the years. Went to the GP yesterday. She examined me and said she ‘thinks’ it’s a sebaceous cyst. Given me a weeks worth of antibiotics. It doesn’t hurt but it’s irritating me. Both sides of my vulva feel sore. It also burns when I wee no infection there and I have lower pelvic pain. I’m 43. Should I push for a referral.?
Hi Bertie,
I had a "cyst" on my labia that wad "benign" removed on January 4th thus year, 26th January I was told I had Leiomyosarcoma... so stick to your guns and insist.on testing.. I'm.46, on the large side but healthy.
I've now had 2 surgeries and now on 3 month CT'S. Thankfully I pushed during covid.for referral.... otherwise.id now be terminal
Stay safe and strong
Chrissy x
Sorry to hear what you have been through. I’m going to push for one. I’ve only had the antibiotics since Tuesday so I’m not sure if the gp will do it though.
Hi Bertie771 I agree with Krazychrissy, if you are not happy then get a 2nd opinion. We all know how important an early diagnoses is, so I would push for a referral. Hopefully It could be a cyst, but I would want someone telling me it definitely is a cyst, rather than I think it is a cyst. I think, doesn't fill me with confidence.
