Hi I'm on the verge of giving up with the cream.
Been using it for over a month now and the side effects are really getting to me.
The consultant has said to keep going for as long as possible to try and reduce the area, and has said I will need more than 1 surgery to remove it all.
So, my question is has anyone need more than 1 surgery?
How long between surgery's?

I am sorry that you have not yet had a reply to your post but sometimes it can just take a little longer for someone in similar circumstances to see it and offer support.
I am sorry to hear that the side effects of the cream that you are using are really getting to you and that you also face having more than one surgery. If it would help to talk things through with one of the Macmillan Nurses do please give the Support Line a call. It may also help to contact your own CNS/doctor to explain that you are struggling with the side effects and see if they can offer any additional support.
My own surgery/chemo/radiotherapy were for endometrial cancer and I do understand that it can be hard to go through lengthy treatments and I know there were times when I struggled. Hopefully someone with experience of the cream you are using will be able to offer some further support. In the meantime if there is anything we can do to help, please do ask.

I noticed your post hasn’t received a reply yet, so my reply will give it a nudge to the top of the discussions again, and hopefully you receive some replies.
I had a different treatment and surgery for my cervical cancer, so unfortunately I don’t have any relevant experience I can share with you but I hope you’ll hear back from others.
I’m presuming that you are using Imiquimod cream, although your post doesn’t specify? It might be a good idea to have another chat with the consultant and see if you can have an appointment to be checked over before you stop using the cream.
They might be able to give you an idea of when surgery might happen and what would be involved at this point, given that you seem to have been using the cream for a while.
