I have finally had my operation for NIV3 pre cancer cells. Now even though I'm feeling groggy and light headed , I'm wondering what kind of pain releif they give you after a operation,
Even tho I'm groggy, and cannot feel a thing in my intimate area, at the moment , and with that being a good feeling, as I've already had 3mths of pain - what pain relief do they giveou , as I'm preparing to wake up tomorrow morning and go owchi omg !!
Hi Blondi, I had a Wide local excision for pre cancerous dVIN 3 weeks ago. Mine was day surgery under general anaesthetic. I was discharged with Dihydrocodeine tablets and told could take alongside Paracetamol and Ibuprofen - usual rules not more than every 4 hours. This managed the pain but tends to constipate so recommend taking something for that as doing a first poo is the killer! I'm 3 weeks out the otherside so good luck with your recovery x
Thanks for your reply , woke up to not too much pain. Taking ibuprofen & paracetamol. Back on my HRT , so things should settle down again in time. Feeling in a better mood today know operation is done I get the all clear in two weeks.
All the best to you and your recovery BBBath xx
