7 weeks since WLE.
This week I needed to get up and about, can't remember if I mentioned my letter from NHS saying I have CIN3 too, now have to wait for consultant appointment for that too.
Visited GP 2 days back to discuss badly phrased letter re above. Mentioned I had pain last couple of days, he said that's expected I should be fine as long as no bleed. Yesterday spotting from wound site, pain worse, yes will be making another appointment when they open today.
FGS, don't need this, I have so much to do I need to be up and about. How the **** can I have another infection?
Hello Looly66
I am Brian one of the Community Champions here on the Community. I have just noticed your post has gone unanswered. I can't answer it myself as I have a different cancer, however by me replying it will be "bumped up" to the top of the page and I hope seen and answered by other members of the Vulva cancer group.
It does sound like you have been "through the mill" and I do hope you get sorted.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hi Looly66
I’m sorry to read you’re still experiencing issues and hope you managed to see your doctor. The HPV virus is usually the cause of VIN and CIN (and VAIN and AIN in the vaginal and anal areas) but it seems you are unlucky to have both.
CIN3 would normally require treatment rather than a watch and wait scenario, although the treatment is not as invasive as a WLE and typically easier to recover from.
I hope things start to improve for you and that you’ll get your appointment through soon to investigate the CIN.
Sarah xx
Thanks Sarah, still more surgery for VIN3 I was told. CIN3 treatment not great either is it? But yes, shorter recovery time. It's the damn waiting to find out. Gp diagnosed skin infection at wound site AB cream helping with that, I just want to get back to work, need the money, landlady selling our flat so back to high rental costs. Sure stress of it all doesn't help, also have to get back to dad care as he is so unhappy with carers.
Oh Looly66 what a lot you have to contend with, and such a lot of stressful things going on in your life, and stress doesn’t help when you’re hoping for your immune syst3m to keep hpv suppressed.
I haven’t had CIN3 treatment myself as I went straight to a cancer diagnosis from my first referral, but it comes up often in the cervical group. It doesn’t involve WLE type surgery like you’ve had, but the abnormal cells are removed in what’s called a LLETZ procedure which doesn’t normally need a general anaesthetic. Then the removed cells/tissues are analysed to confirm the diagnosis. I’ve had punch biopsies done, which weren’t painful to confirm my diagnosis, but have had much more invasive surgery when my cancer recurred.
It must be very hard waiting for the next steps when as you say all you wan5 to do is get on with your life.
