Has anyone flown with Hydrmol (or equivalent emolient) and Dermovate? Both flammable. I have seen a 100g Hydromol tube on Amazon and have prescription for Dermovate. Can I put in hand luggage?? Or do I have to buy hold luggage on Easyjet?
I have flown before and decanted a small amount into a pot and put in the hold luggage - although small print said no flammable liquids (includes ointments) Virgin had some small print about medical exceptions for small quantities. I took letters with me but was not asked and plane didn't explode! I cannot find any info for Easyjet
Any advice appreciated. Thanks
Hi BBBath
I fly quite often and always put any kind of medication in my hand luggage-particularly because I worry about luggage going missing and I need to have medicines on hand. I have taken a letter in the past but never been asked to show it. Flammable items are not normally allowed in hold luggage, even though the risk is presumably small, and need to be carried in hand luggage, and lots of airports still have the rule where you need to put any types of liquids up to 100ml in a clear plastic bag to be scanned separately. I require something in a spray can as part of my medical supplies so put it in a separate plastic bag along with any perfume I am carrying, lip balm etc.
Enjoy your trip!
Sarah xx
