he there .
Could anyone share with me any problems or stories on infection after operation.
I had my op exactly 1 week ago . Only 4 days after op my stitches came apart and I was left with what looked like part of a map . Huge hole at the entrance of vagina that got a little thinner leading up to the top .
I went to emergency and they said it will have to heal alone now and They would not re stitch . This was so upsetting as it looked like it was going to be a neat scar had it healed .
Anyway got over that and had the courage to have another look . It seems to now have a layer of patchy green covering the wound . It isn't anymore painful than it was before and I have been cleaning religiously. I don't have fever or feel ill at all . I'm worried about going to the emergency room again while corona is such a huge concern for everyone.
I've been . using the salts recommended to clean . So unsure what to do and so worried about infection .
Had anyone had experience with infection. Please help
Hi
Haven’t checked the website for a while so only just read your message.
I do hope things are improving for you.
I had surgery which was later followed by chemo/radiotherapy. Surgery was 18 months back but I clearly remember how frightened I was about infection setting in. Antibiotics did the trick but I was obsessive about spraying myself with warm salt water on the loo!
Wishing you well.
