For over 2 and 1/2 years I have been suffering with vin, hpv and cin. I have been getting check ups every 6 month but have been given nothing to help with the symptoms I am getting from vin. I get mad itchy, very sore and the skin is bright red on and around my vulva. Every time I have seen my consultant the symptoms I get have not been there as it tends to flare up more near my monthly cycle. Has anyone else gone through this and is there anything I can do to help with my symptoms? I am worried that the vin has progressed as it seems to be getting worse and the skin just keeps breaking away and is so painful.
Hi Kerby,
I am sorry that you have been suffering with VIN and CIN. I also have been suffering with VINs for a couple of years and had surgeries five times so far. I have exact same symptoms like yours. I have VIN2/3 on all around opening of my vagina that is itchy, sore and burning when I urinate. I can see skin is dark red. I do not have flare up, I have those symptoms constantly, but sometimes gets minor. I also have severe vaginal dryness from radiation (had vaginal cancer 2014) , so it is really not comfortable. I tried to use moisturizer but those stings because of VIN.
There is not much things you can do for the symptoms, unfortunately only you can do is having surgery and get removed all VINs. Then you should feel much better after healing. . I will see my GY oncology in two weeks, then probably will have surgery after that. I really want those itchy and sore to be gone!
I hope yours is not as bad as mine. Best wishes
Kuma
Hi Kuma
Thank you for replying to me. So sorry to hear what you are going through and what you have previously been through. My symptoms are there constant but seem to flare up worse around my monthly cycle, which is similar to yours where it stings when I urinate and is mad itchy inside. I had a biopsy taken from my perineum as that’s where the consultant noticed the changes and when I had my follow up she said the biopsy removed the vin that was there, and that my vulva looked normal at that time. I have managed to get in to see her this Thursday due to the symptoms I have started getting again, so hopefully I can get sorted and it relieves my symptoms.
I hope you manage to finally get sorted when you see your consultant in two weeks and it relieves your symptoms to.
Kirsty
