I just had a check-up this is after having a radical left vulvatomy plus sentinel nodes removed in January 18 then the lymph nodes removed in the April
I have had other follow up after the first one changed back to the hospital near me
All is okay in that they not seeing anything but I have told them that I am getting some swelling on the left leg
I did also get an abscess on the left side groin which I was in hospital for 6 days (which was longer than either of the 2 surgeries) & nearly 3 months of seeing a nurse
Well today's appointment I got a lot more info such as leaflets & booklet about lymphedema & support groups & phone numbers
So I think that after having surgery if you don't get information about help & support ask & not to wait to need it
Just wanted to post now so others would know
