How can they tell if vin3 isn’t cancer or is it?
sorry my head is all over the place, my appointment with gynaecologist not until the 23rd January.

  • Hi again

According to this information VIN is pre-cancerous and is diagnosed by taking a biopsy.

Hi, yes I had a biopsy on the 11th December, results came back that it is vin 3, I have an appointment with the gynaecologist on the 23rd January, I don’t know what happens next. X

  • Do you know what your appointment is for , ie is it just to find out what the gynaecologist intends to do or is it for treatment?

If it's the latter then clicking here will take you to information that tells you about the different treatment options for VIN.

If you don't know what your appointment is for then give your CNS a call, if you've been assigned one, or phone the gynaecologist's secretary tomorrow for more information.

    Hi !

I also have vin 3 and I am 33 years old.
mine was very severe and wide spread.
    I got diagnosed in 2018.
normally the appointments are to discuss treatment options like to surgically remove the vin 3 or to use the imiquimod cream to kill off the abnormal cells.

Can I ask what your symptoms are.
I kno some ladies have a lump and other ladies have bumpy & ulcerated skin.

mine was bumpy and ulcerated and some large white patches. It was very painful at the time.

mine has recently flared back up so I’m waiting for referral for maybe surgical removal this time

Hi, I seen my gynaecologist today and wants me in as soon as possible, I’ve to phone tomorrow for a date, he’s also going to remove a suspicious polop on my womb and also going to fit the marina coil to help with my sweats along with a patch, I can’t wait to feel well again, and not to be in torture every time I go to the toilet, he did say it could come back, if it does what stage does it come back as? I’m a bit worried about that. I totally feel I’ve no luck with my health, I had a brain hemmorage 4 years ago, it’s just one thing after another. I apologise for the rant just feel a bit low. Hi!
Vin can come back stage one two or 3 or it may never come back again!
I understand your worried but for peace of mind I got told to look at it like a bad skin condition rather than being life threatening as VIN 3 is not a cancer. And it’s very low percent that do turn to a cancer -

4 % of people who have vin 3 turns to culver cancer. That’s very low.
The docs  will be in top of it now.

And u will be checked regularly so quick treatment will be given if any changes in the future.
As for now get your treatment sorted.like you are.
It can be sore and uncomfortable but there is a light at the end of the tunnel and it does get better.
the skin tends to react to the cream ( if you pick that option) and can be canny painful.
but just remember it will all be worth it in the end!
mine has come bk a lil bit now after a few years so I’m going to choose to get the skin surgically removed this time.
I kno how u feel about being ill. I had my total thyroid removed but all fine with that now.
we must just have low immune systems
