Sorry to see you here! I managed five applications of Aldara, that's all! My skin ulcerated, I felt flu-ey, ached all over, headaches and cried a lot! I got lidocaine anaesthetic from gp for when I had to go out and squirted warnm water when I peed. I couldn't tolerate it and had surgery a few weeks later to remove vin3. I had strip of perineum removed, 1/3 of both labia and half of one inner lip removed.Overnight stay, nasty infection BUT it wasn't as painful as Aldara! I was fine after five weeks. Im 48 and very active in all sorts of ways (!!!)My point is, only you know what you can tolerate But there are people here who totally understand how much pain that little sachet of cream can cause and the alternative.....surgery.....isn't as awful as you might imagine.

Now on my 5th week of aldara treatment ,I can only manage to leave on for 6 or 7 hours at most before washing off as it really burns and I seem to be quite swollen it is such a relief when I apply the hydromol ointment ,don't think I could cope without it .I look very red and sore but the white area does seem to be going I have a hospital appointment on 2nd Feb so hopefully I will have good results. BEe careful you don't use too much as you only need to apply a thin layer.

Thank you both for your reply! I am glad your Dr. prescribed you an ointment. My Dr. told me I just had to deal with the pain. Luckily , my first two applications weren't AS bad as I was expecting. However I heard after each application it gets a little worse but not sure if that's true. I have another round tonight. Just cant wait to start seeing results if any. I heard something about not using regular body wash down there, and I've heard im not supposed to take pain reliever that has anti inflammatory? Any knowledge of that?

Hi I had Aldara cream and managed to complete my 3 month course and was given the all clear. Aldara worked for me even though I had flu like symptoms, back ache and achey joints, I'm glad I kept with it as found it better than surgery x Good luck and stay strong
