Hi
just wondering if anyone has info on how quickly disease progressed once treatment stopped?
I have stage 4 TNBC lung and chest mets and stopped chemo/immuno due to toxicity side effects recently
I have stage 4 TNBC, PD/L1 positive, and had liver mets. Originally diagnosed in 2022. I was being treated with Pembrolizumab and NAB-Paclitaxel. In Sept 2023 I had a serious immunotherapy adverse event causing kidney, thyroid and lung damage. I had to stop treatment. A scan a few weeks later showed my liver mets had shrunk significantly. 6 months later they remained unchanged and I had an ablation. I have been in remission ever since. I have not had any more treatment, just monitoring.
There are academic papers on the question of outcomes for people who have to stop treatment with pembro which show there are often good outcomes.
