It's 10 weeks since my first biopsy after routine mammogram and still not started any treatment. Back and forwards to hospital for further biopsy and scans ...4 hour round trips.
Said on first visit that it might be lung or stomach cancer because showing up in lymph nodes. That was so frightening a just lost two people close one with stomach cancer and another lung. Ct and mri showed possible breast lesion but now it's another cancerous lymph. Last week decided on tnbc but referred back to local hospital for decision. Had extreme fatigue from first diagnosis and unable work waiting and lack of information has been awful. Still don't know if they are doing surgery first or chemo.
Still angry at the first visit the nurse said ... it might still be breast cancer then we have everything to play for. My husband and i were shocked. Weeks of over thinking is really wearing me down and stll no idea when someone will get back to me.
I’m so sorry to hear about your experience. It is truly awful that first time they tell you it looks like cancer. I had to wait 2 weeks for my official diagnosis and that was bad enough. I’m surprised they can’t pinpoint which type of cancer you may have, all that back and forth does your mental state no good. I hope you get some concrete news very soon and can start treatment if needed. Xxx
