My daughter in law has had Triple a since December,21. Things now are getting serious as it’s now in her lungs and liver. No chemo or trials have worked. They have a 2 years old son which makes things even harder. Apart from me there’s no other family here. I’m struggling to cope physically and emotional as I’m 70. I live in Dorset and there in London which doesn’t help. I need to be strong for the 3 of them but am finding it so hard
Hi Harefield and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm sorry to read that your daughter-in-law has secondary breast cancer and I know what a difficult time this will be for the whole family.
As you know, the online community is divided up into different support groups so I hope you don't mind me recommending a couple more for you to join.
The first is the secondary breast cancer group which is a great place to ask questions and share experiences around her diagnosis and treatment.
The second is the family and friends group which is a safe and supportive place to discuss your worries and emotions with others who have a loved one living with cancer.
If you'd like to join these groups just click on the links I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
It would be great if you could pop something about your daughter-in-law's diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
