I was diagnosed with invasive lobular triple neg in Aug. Had WLE and 3 lymph nodes removed in September. Lymph nodes clear but margins in breast were not so had second WLE a few weeks later. Waited ages for results, luckily clear. Scars healed and have been offered chemo and radiotherapy with adjuvant Bisphosphonates which gave me 78% survival rate over 10 years or radiotherapy and adjuvant Bisphosphonates which gave me 74% survival rate over 10 years.
I chose to have radiotherapy and Bisphosphonate as I have Ulcerative Colitis as i was very concerned that the UC would flare up with the chemo. I start next week but I am really worried after reading other ladies with triple neg all seem to have had chemo and radiotherapy.
I wondered if any ladies on here have had similar diagnosis and have had radiotherapy after and doing well?
xx
Hi Lainey21
Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer.
I was diagnosed with triple negative just over a year ago and after having chemo, surgery and radiotherapy I am now cancer free and I am doing fine.
Wishing you all the best as you undergo treatment.
Best wishes
