Hi. Recently diagnosed with TNBC, I had bloods taken on Monday for the genetic testing... Does anyone know how long it will take to get the results?
I start my chemo on Wednesday and am feeling very anxious.
I finish work tomorrow as I've been furloughed from next Monday
Hello
I am on the same path as you a little further on. It took two weeks for my genetic test to come back.
In my life before cancer I always said I would not fight cancer because of the chemo I would just live and spend , but because of covid I couldn’t do this. I am glad I did fight chemo isn’t that bad I have managed to work ,walk miles and ride , take all medications offered but most off all get a little excersise a day it really helps with the symptoms
Hi
That is so useful to know! I have signed up for Breast Care Now's 100 Miles in May & was concerned I wouldn't achieve it. I plan to walk a little every day, further on good days. I'm prepared to take all they throw at me - I have 3 beautiful grandchildren that I want to see grow up. Hope all goes well with your treatment xx
I looked at the 100 miles but my back has been playing up for a couple of months. Awaiting results of x-rays.
I will take anything they offer, although I am a bit concerned about the possibility of steroids and hormones, I gain weight really easily and these will just make it harder for me to lose what I need to (I do weight watchers)
Sarah.... Keep looking forward
