Hi, I've started chemo and immunotherapy weekly treatment for my 6x3 tnbc.
The nerves have absolutely kicked in as I have the medical review tomorrow and I will be told my scan results.
It's all ready spread to 3 lymph nodes so I'm petrified it's spread and I will be diagnosed as stage 4.
Does anyone know if the size of the tumor contributes to the stage?
Also has anyone had a success story for a tumor this large?
Hi Kells
Stage 4 is when the cancer is found in another organ (eg liver, lungs, brain) or your bones. I am stage 4 - I had very early spread to my liver despite not having any lymph nodes involved. That was in 2022. I did however achieve a full remission, which has held so far, through treatment with pembrolizumab and NAB-paclitaxel. So a success story despite being stage 4
Scans are always times of worry for all of us. Wishing you all the best for your results.

I have metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer, in remission
Hi Kells
Just wishing you good luck for your review today.
I recently had a CT scan that showed a dark spot on my liver, which required an MRI to investigate further. It turned out to be benign but I did get myself into a bit of a state thinking it had spread everywhere so I completely understand the fear!
All the best for positive results. x
