Hi,

Has anyone in the UK been able to get access to Sacituzumab Govitecan (Trodelvy) for metastatic TNBC yet?  Maybe through expanded access/ compassionate use?  Trying to find a way to get it while we wait for the UK to approve it.  It was approved in the US in Apr-2020 but still not available here.  Thanks

  • Hi . I just dropped by and noticed you've not yet received a reply to your post. I've a different cancer to you so I'm not familiar with this particular medicine.

Whilst you're waiting for other members to respond, it might be an idea to Ask a Nurse here on the forum (just click on the link) They might have some information but you may need to wait a couple of days for a reply.

    Sending hugs, B xx

  • Hi Run4it.

I think it's approved in the EU, as our "family" oncologist based in France suggested it for my wife. It seems that Brexit has stopped it being approved here at the same time. I know it's with the MHRA for approval, but of course then NICE would still have to negotiate a price for it afterwards, which could take a while (I think the list price is ~£200k for a year's treatment).

There's a campaign that you can sign (and share) calling for it to be given out for free as soon as approved in the UK, until the NHS will fund it. You can find it here: https://action.breastcancernow.org/its-time-trodelvy

If you find a way to access it in the UK, please do let me know!

    HTH,

    Andy
