I've completed 18 out of 23 radiotherapy sessions. Near where my lump was (have had lumpectomy) is hard and a bit lumpy. Have mentioned it at my review and been told this is normal. However, I still can't stop thinking that the cancer is back as it is lumpy!. Anyone else had similar experienecs?, I'm terrified it's back!

    Hi

I have similar hardness and thickening of breast tissue a year after surgery and have been informed also this is normal and that I need to get used to how my new breast feels after treatment!

It is hard to keep positive and not think about the worst but until you are told anything  different it’s important to treasure each day and stay positive.
