Hi my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer around the 10th of nov2019. The shock was unreal to say the least. Once we had got over it we started to look at treatments while waiting  appointment at See no evilS.  We were positive even though we didn't know the severity of it, from our research were hoping to just have the OP and rebuild new breast problem solved ........ as if it be that easy. We went toSee no evil appointments for scans and blood test we found out she is is stage 1 it hasn't spread any but it's the aggressive type triple negative so they have advised chemo radio therapy and op See no evilSee no evil. This whole time it's been growing she hasn't noticed it bo pain what so  ever. From our research we have found  that cancer can  Not grow in alkaline conditions .so we took a ph test she was acidic weve changed her diet she Is now alkaline we did this by going on a plant food diet only , its sounds  bad but there is plenty you can eat from from natural produce and plenty protein from beans. We have started to use thc oil and cbd oils as from research it will help fight cancer. 2 weeks in to this diet and oils treatment my wife has noticed the tumour has been reacting it pulsing, sore feels like a bruise she even thinks a bit broke away from the main tumour. When she told me  I automatically looked it up online , a reason could be as the body fights cancer the white blood cells turning back into  can sometimes feel like a bruise. So from what were doing we hope it is a good sign its has bin a month now 60 ml of oil is meant to kill most cancers and her diet should starve the cancer as weve found out what feeds cancer and we should have prevented it from growing by keeping her alkaline. Has anyone been through any of this? are we on the right page? have we missed anything  out ? We are trying out best to avoid chemo and radio therapy the op ok but last thing we want is chemo any tips will be appreciated

  • Hi there ,  I'm aware of Jane McLellands book, and the COC Protocol for Breast Cancer, but they are in conjunction with standard treatments.  Chemo is scary before you start - I felt that 5 months ago and entered the Optima Trial to see if I could avoid it but I'm so glad I didn't,  despite only a 4% statistical gain in my case.  It changed the average change of me dying from it in 10 years from 1/11 to 1/17, and I know which group I'd rather be in:).

Triple negative breast cancer is usually grade 3 (aggressive) regardless of size. Why not put your wife's statistics through Breast Predict and see her percentage benefit of chemo? It's meant for AFTER surgery when the actual size,  type/s (there can be more than one type in the same breast!), nodal status (20% of women who seem to have clear nodes don't) so also do it after surgery when you've had the results back from pathology. It will give you an idea of how important chemo could be.  My 4% gain over 10 years is for an ER+ grade 2  stage 2 cancer, but chemo can routinely addi a gain of between 10-16%!

About 1/3 women diagnosed with breast cancer will eventually die from it, though treatments are improving all the time so there are more women surviving and the outlook is improving.  Chemo is very well managed in breast cancer now (take a look at the Chemo thread on the main Breast Cancer forum) with good anti-nausea drugs available, as is radiotherapy these days.  Changing diet,  along with things like CBD oil could help to starve the cancer or it may not.  There is a forum linked to Jane McLelland elsewhere that I've seen where people post both success stories and sadly failures of the regime which you might want to look at.   I took CBD oil from diagnosis to after my nodal clearance and it calmed me, I hope that it helped, but i wouldn't risk my life on it or diet alone. Think how you'd feel if your wife was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in the future and she'd not done everything possible to try and cure herself now?

No-one can say for sure if something has worked or if it was necessary. Your doctors can advise based on treating hundreds/thousands of other women and current research, but for now no-one really knows if all the cells have been removed or killed. It's a really scary time at the beginning. When is your wife's surgery? Good luck whatever she/you both decide to do:)

I don’t want to offend but the alkaline theory is absolute nonsense...a highly qualified nutritionist I know calls it ‘the very definition of nutrition-boll is.’ Please please don’t reject proven medical treatments in favour of this, you are dicing with death. But you can do anything you like alongside the chemo & radiotherapy if you believe it’s doing good and isn’t doing harm. A good cancer diet is plenty of protein, milk, eggs, cheese, olive oil, masses of any kind of fruit and veg, especially green leafy, whole grains and pulses, everything organic where possible. No processed or junk stuff at at all but the occasional treat to cheer you up..eg a slice of good home made cake. Some best chocolate. Oh and no alcohol but plenty of water tea coffee ..fluids in fact but not sugary stuff. This is a good diet for everyone of course.  It will support and nourish you when having any chemo or radiotherapy. Good luck
