Is there anyone on here who, like me, had a diagnosis of triple negative breast cancer, and has been made so ill by their chemo that they have had to give it up? Nearly 2 months on from my last (2nd) round of FEC-T chemo am still really ill and in process of making formal complaint about the poor treatment I have received from my local hospital and gp surgery. I now have to take anti-convulsants, which give me severe abdominal pains, for the rest of my life, have suffered kidney damage and still have chronic back pain - wonder if anyone else on here has had a similar experience and yet is still alive to tell the tale?
Hi
Sorry I haven't been on here a while so have only just see your post.
I too had FEC-T but haven't had the terrible time that you've had. I had 4 Docetacel to start with and did find that tougher than the FEC. I ended up diagnosed with a Pulmonary Embolism and infarction of my lung on the day I was supposed to have my last chemo so had 4 days in hospital and my last chemo 3 days afterwards.
Which one did you start off with and what have they said about your treatment. Were you having chemo first?
I had such great treatment, think it can vary so much depending on whete you are.
