I’ve had surgery and some lymph node involvement found so about to start chemo followed by radiotherapy-this group seems relatively quiet compared to the others but would appreciate contact with others in this group - the chemo regime is different from a lot I’ve read in other groups and have got six sesssions of taxa/carboplatin and would like to talk with others on this regime/got through it/about to start etc

Hi Wizz, I'm brand new to the forum.  I was diagnosed with tnbc a month ago and am 5 weeks into chemo.  I'm British but currently living in Hong Kong.

I'm having 12 weeks of weekly paclitaxel, every 3 weeks I'll have an additional infusion of carboplatin.  Once those 12 weeks are up I have a two week break then I have fortnightly cyclophosphamide for 8 weeks.

I'll then have surgery (I do have some lymph node involvement) and radiotherapy.

  • Hi

I Was diagnosed with TN April 2018.  I then had 4 x FEC and 4 x Docetaxel.  I had these every 3 weeks.

I then had lumpectomy in Nov, no lymph node involvement.  Went back for the results 3 weeks later and got the all clear.  I then went on to have 15 x rads.

I just took one chemo at a time and thought everytime I had my treatment, it was a step closer to getting better.

    Good luck with your treatment!
