Morning everyone

I’ve just been given my treatment following a lumpectomy 23rd March for IDC (medullary like), triple negative stage 3. Op fine, no nodes affected so on to the chemo.
3x cycles of EC (3weekly) followed by 12 x Taxol (weekly).
I’m going to try the cold cap and wondered if there was anyone else that is following the same treatment and had cold capped?
Also, has I’m hoping to continue working (I went back two weeks after surgery - I work 3 days in an office).
Has anyone else been able to continue working on this treatment plan?
Thank you xxxx

    Thank you Dreamthief.

To be fair my oncologist hadn’t said this (although she had previously said it wasn’t offered on weekly Taxol when in fact it is - I did challenge this and I am now down for it). I like to be as informed as I can be.

Tonight Mathew, I’m going to be..............Dangerous Brian! ;) (well tomorrow actually)

Thanks for replying - saves me looking at lots of various studies to reach a conclusion!

    Hi

Dangerous Brian is a far better option than that contestant who said -

Tonight Matthew "I'm going to be Glenn Miller"  -  He went through the fog never to be seen again  :-/

Profile's a good un' -  and it is Tea Time :)

Just sniggered into my chocolate brownie.

It’s for strength you know, for tomorrow’s chemo (and brain freeze).

    Afternoon all

I’m back from my first chemo. In at 11.30, out st 2.45, cold cap, counselling and Treatment.

Totally doable. Totally fine. I shall await with bated breath any side effects. Just had a macdonald because I’m worth it.

    I’m ready.

Just a bit of positivity for anyone dreading their first session.

    Onwards n upwards!

    Mamma

(Ps - my wee was pink. Totally expected side effect. You’re welcome)

(Pps - can I have a glass of wine tonight? Asking for a friend)

It’s the needles for me. The Canucks was the worst bit (the lady to the side of me grabbed my hand while I was biting my hand and looking away - bless her).

    After that, no probs.

    You can do it.
